dekh ke jiti hoon har lmeha maa ka charah
rotion rotion piyar swera maa ka charah

maa ki to har ek dua muqabol huyi hay
sundar sundar barkt wala maa ka charah

khairo bakat wala esa man ka charah

khush bakhti ne mera matha chuma aa kar
mien ne jab bhi badh kar chuma maa ka charah

maa ki batin, maa ki mamata, maa ka charah

    Mother’s Poetry

I live by seeing every moment of my mother’s face
The bright, bright love of my mother’s face

My mother’s every prayer has been accepted
The beautiful, beautiful, blessed face of my mother

Whose presence brings blessings to the house
Such a blessed face of my mother

Happy happiness kissed my forehead and came
I kissed my mother’s face even when I was young

I will not forget Kajal till the day I die
    Mother’s words, mother’s affection, mother’s face

The Origin of Mother’s Day A Tribute to Love and Sacrifice

The modern Mother’s Day celebration traces its roots back to the early 20th century, thanks to the efforts of Anna Jarvis, who wanted to honor her own mother’s dedication and service. What started as a small tribute has now become a global phenomenon, celebrated in over 40 countries. While traditions may vary, the core sentiment remains the same: expressing gratitude for the love and sacrifices mothers make every day.

Why Mothers Deserve More Than Just One Day

Mothers are the unsung heroes of our lives. They are our first teachers, our biggest cheerleaders, and our safe haven in times of trouble. From late-night feedings to endless encouragement, their love knows no bounds. Yet, their efforts often go unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of daily life. Mother’s Day is a reminder to pause, reflect, and show appreciation for all that they do.

Unique Ways to Celebrate Mother’s Day

While flowers and cards are classic gestures, why not make this Mother’s Day extra special with these unique ideas?

    • Create a Memory Jar
Fill a jar with handwritten notes, each sharing a cherished memory or a reason why you appreciate your mom. It’s a heartfelt gift she can revisit whenever she needs a smile.
    • Plan a Personalized Day
Tailor the day to her preferences. Whether it’s a cozy breakfast in bed, a nature hike, or a movie marathon, make it all about her.
    • Cook Her Favorite Meal
Surprise her with a homemade feast featuring her favorite dishes. Even if you’re not a master chef, the effort will mean the world to her.
    • Gift an Experience
Instead of material gifts, consider gifting an experience, like a spa day, a pottery class, or a weekend getaway.
    • Write a Letter
In the age of texts and emails, a handwritten letter carries a special touch. Pour your heart out and let her know how much she means to you.

The Power of Gratitude Beyond Mother’s Day

While Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to show appreciation, let’s not limit our gratitude to just one day. Small acts of kindness, like helping with chores or simply saying “thank you,” can make a big difference. After all, mothers give their all every day—shouldn’t we strive to do the same?

    A Global Celebration of Motherhood

Mother’s Day is celebrated differently around the world, but the underlying message is universal. In Mexico, families gather for festive meals and serenades. In Thailand, mothers are honored with jasmine garlands, symbolizing purity and love. In Ethiopia, a multi-day festival called “Antrosht” celebrates motherhood with feasts and singing. No matter the tradition, the day is a beautiful reminder of the bond between mothers and their children.

    Make Every Day Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day, let’s go beyond the usual gifts and create meaningful moments that reflect our love and appreciation. Whether it’s through a heartfelt gesture, a thoughtful gift, or simply spending quality time together, let’s make sure the moms in our lives feel cherished—not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there! Your love is the foundation of our lives, and today, we celebrate you.
